Although I've been a fan of cupcakes for a while, I've only recently discovered
Sprinkles Cupcakes. Last month I visited their Beverly HIlls location and had two of the best cupcakes I've ever had. I was super excited to find out they had a location close to me, in La Jolla. Today they happened to be celebrating their one year anniversary and giving away free cupcakes! I waited in line for about 20 minutes and couldn't decide on just one flavor. So, I walked out with three: strawberry, red velvet, and pumpkin.
It was an exceptionally gorgeous day (even for San Diego) so I got some coffee and took my cupcakes to the beach.
Here's what the red velvet looked like before I ate it for dessert tonight.
I can definitely see myself indulging in their cupcakes more often. Smores, german chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, lemon coconut...

I have wanted to go to Sprinkles... FOREVER! I get their emails, follow their fb... I can't wait to finally get to eat their cupcakes :)
